TKA after HTO and extraarticular deformities

Despite TKA was going to increase numbers in Europe we still having many arthritic knee following a previous HTO .
Anatomic Knee deformities push the Surgeon to adapt different surgical approaches in order to achive a correct overall knee Alignment and functional results.
The presentation include a review of articles to verify if minor post op functional results are to be expected after a TKA Post HTO .
Extra articular deformities as well the previous HTO can affect the Pre Op Plan with the needing to perform first a corrective Osteotomy and then a TKA -
Angular Deviation on the coronal plane are taken in consideration to suggest the best surgical approach to these difficult cases .
A border is suggested to stay in the limits to correct an extra articular deformity and solve with a TKA the arthritic knee process at the same time -
